I had the worst cripsy chicken from Bishan J8 Shilin Street Snacks today! Ewww! Don't know why it tasted so horrible. Simply gross. Totally ruined my appetite. I still prefer the similiar Taiwan street snacks store at B2 of Plaza Singapura.

I've been eating so much lately. I think I may explode anytime!
I ought to hit the gym or have a good jog tmr!

Anyway, MinOps CG was pretty good today (:
The sad thing is that we still don't have everyone present! QianJin wasn't here with us today. I think I'm the one being absent, most of the time. But I convinced Mummy to postpone the Batam trip so I could attend today.

During CG, I had to come up with a impromptu game or some sorta since we didn't have a game master for the day. So, I thought of having a pop quiz to see how well we know each other. It turned out to be quite a funny and interesting revelation.

#1: What's Shuz's most favourite food?
#2: What's Ethan's most favourite apparel shop?
#3: What's Amelia's most favourite sport?
#4: What's Simon's most favourite colour?
#5: What're JiaYi's favourite brands?
#6: What're Yiyou's favourite hobbies?
#7: What's Jerel's most favourite pen?
#8: What's XinYi's shoe size?
#9: What's Walmond's most favourite eating place?
#10: What's Wynnie's most favourite drink?
#11: What's Jiali's most favourite TV program?
#12: Who's Daniel's idol?
#13: What phrase/word does Ben use most frequently?
#14: What's Val's favourite pose for taking photos?
#15: What does RuiZhen enjoy doing the most?
#16: What does LeeJun hate the most?
#17: What's Ian's most favourite cartoon character?
#18: What do I really wish to get these days?

(QianJin, Gwen, Eevoon, Puay, YaoGuo weren't present at that moment)
But, Gwen and Puay tried the questions during lunch time.

The highest score (10/18) is attained by Jiali. So, now everyone in the group owes her a gift! hurhur. Don't forget to do so by the next weekend! ;p

I was amused by Yiyou's post about THE HOST, the part about 'something' creeping outta Singapore River! Lol. I didn't even think of that! So funny!

Below is the excerpt from her blog:

It's lurking behind you...you...you

What if Singaporeans threw away their toxic chemicals down the sink, which flows into the water...and later 'something' creeps out of the Singapore river. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

phew~ feel a dozen close shaves after watching THE HOST at Cineleisure with Gwen. The monster is absolutely hideous. ugly like nobody's buisness. yet, I adore the transitions between the characters, the action, the intellect of the characters, the underlying political message, the reflective family bonding. There's also a part in the movie where the lost girl suddenly appears eating with the family, and the members start feeding her, (where she's actually not), but it's so intriguing. so MUCH love. but such a let-down at the ending, saddening monster-caught-fire cg. *shakes head* it would be a near perfect monster movie if not for that part la i feel.

I'm a HAPPY being today!
I spent the whole afternoon at Yishun Safra, swimming and enjoying a good suntan with my dishy. It felt really good and totally refreshing! The only downside was that I ate ALOT after that so it kinda defeated the purpose of exercising. Oh wells. I shall go work out again on Thursday, hopefully.
And I received my tuition pay today! Yay! Yes, I was so in need of cash!
So, thank God! I need to start saving up by a whole lot more!

Caught THE HOST 2 days ago and I must say that it's very thrilling, indeed. No wonder it received such high ratings. Initially, I was quite reluctant about watching such horror Korean movies but I watched it anyway and I really enjoyed it. Plus, I got the middle back row seats of the cinema. Wheeee~

The mutated creature in the movie did frighten me a bit. I find it a pity that the 3D effects applied on the mutated created being caught in flames towards the end of the movie wasn't as convincing. Otherwise, it's a thumb's up!

Personally, I enjoyed the movie because it was a very different kind of scary movie. It was funny, friendly, realistic, emotional, yet, very scary.

Lalalalaaa. I shall blog tmr again about last Saturday with tons of photos! Meanwhile, I'm still craving for SWENSEN's Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice-cream though I had it not too long ago. I won't denial that I'm such a pig. Muahaha ;p

The Five Love Languages

My primary love language is probably
Acts of Service
with a secondary love language being
Quality Time.

Complete set of results

Acts of Service:
10
Quality Time:
7
Receiving Gifts:
5
Physical Touch:
4
Words of Affirmation:
4

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

I have probably said this many times but I will say it again cos it's so true:
It's a small world after all!
Or rather, I'm living in a really small island and that's Singapore for you.
Two people I've met today have proven my point. I didn't know them before but now I do. It's amazing how we're all linked in a way or another as if someone has predestined it. And I know He did. I believe it can't possibly be just a rub of coincidence. We're all part of a bigger picture. The concept of a small world is so real. That's why friendster or such are so popular. I can recall that when I first started my friendster account, I only choose to add one person - my cousin; I could actually link to my friends, somehow, to a certain degree, through her alone. And it's not like she has many friends or something.

Okies dokies, I'm happily talking to my brother now. He's a funny guy lar.

I'm gonna jump right to bed after this entry!
It took me so long to upload the pics and revamp my blogskin.
(Aye, I'm not good with the blogger html thingy)

Anyway, the past 11 days have been rather eventful and this's probably one of the few times I actually bothered to blog with plenty of photos. How rare of me. Hoho. (:

TODAY
I stayed home till evening and travelled down to Yishun for my 2nd tuition session with Grace. Somehow, it was enjoyable. She was thrilled for making me speak mandarin whenever she answered the maths questions correctly =.=

YESTERDAY
Spent the afternoon in school and went down to nexus after that to help with the anniversary video editing, start the youth archives proper, etc. Caught the last train home with Jiayi.

THE PAST WEEK
(events dated backwards)

Meet up with Dolly, Meghan & Alex

It's still amazing how we clicked so well even though it's only our 2nd meeting, together!

That's Dolly, being her usual crazy self. Lol --->
We were amused by the UPSIDE DOWN ice cream!

Hope
Kids's
Zoo
Hunt

I was so enthusiastic!

I took 4 of my little cousins
out entirely on my own.

They really exhausted me by the end of the day with all their demands. I can't help giving in to them.
Took them to Macdonalds after that for supper as well. Anyway, I'm glad they had a good time.

Xinyi's birthday celebration (part 1)

Happy 20th Birthday, Xinyi!

You hit TWO this year.

Muahaha ;p

I don't have photos of part 2 yet (Jiayi, hurry send the photos! hehehe) where we celebrated her b'dae again last Sat with a really cute cake - the proud creation of Yiyou and me. Wheeeee~

Seventeen 4th Anniversary Party at Zouk

The band perfomance

The Miss Seventeen Pageant & the panel of judges

The Miss Seveteen winners (1st & 2nd runner up)

The Miss Seventeen 2006

Jayne Tham, 17, JJC
(if I didn't recall wrongly and I think she's prettiest among all of the contestants. The rest CMI. lol)

I kinda like

this photo
I took of
Olivine

MinOps CG
aka mini sports day
where we played Badminton and basketball.
Since town was just 2 bus stops away, I decided to practise retail therapy with Yiyou and Gwen.
The guys tagged along since they've some time to spare before their jamming session.

Ben was in a 'i-feel-like-buying-things-for-my-sister-for-fun' mood and he actually called her down to pick anything she wants. We were like "Ben, can we be your sisters for the day?" Lol.
Anyway, we continued shopping after Ben's sister (aye, I forgot her name!) arrived. She really didn't know what to get and we helped her picked a RipCurl top eventually. She likes it! Can't believe she's so deprived - her mother doesn't usually allow her to wear any sleeveless tops or surfer clothing. C'mon, she's just Sec 3! Surely, she'd like some surfer clothing before she grows outta it.
Meanwhile, I bought myself a ZARA long sleeve white top.

Anyway, did I mention that I gave Daniel a treat with the Turkish ice cream trick! Hahaha.

There were also many small happenings here and there like Marcom meeting at coffee club with Ben&Puaylin, which was enjoyable too (:

And I've watched the following movies over the week with my dishy!

TransAmerica

The Devil
wears Prada

Akeelah and the Bee
,
featured one of my favourite quote of all time:

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond
measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
fabulous, gorgeous, talented? Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God. You're playing small
doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that's within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we automatically give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others.

That pretty much sums up my past week or so. I shall leave the other details aside. I'm tired already! Good night! zzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZZZzZzzZzZ!

The NEW 24-inch imac looks attractive! But, it's $800 or $751.80(student price) difference for an extra 4-inch, considering that the rest of the specifications are the same. hmmmmm?

(discounted rates for students)
